The Agricultural Development Trust (ADT) in Baramati aims at contributing to the development of the rural local population. The main emphasis is on education, extension, women empowerment and awareness raising. The Trust consists of several departments which support the education and development of rural youth, farmers and others that are active in the rural setting.

The ADT is a progressive and ambitious institute which is very much eager to further develop itself. The intention is to play a role in the coming years in international developments and activities. As part of that process Motivaxion (in the name of Lambertus Vogelzang) was asked to cooperate with the ADT. The main requests to him were related to activities in the broad field of organisational development. Practically it meant that in 2008 three missions were fielded.

During the first mission the main focus was on supporting a team of extension workers in developing extension plans in close cooperation with farmers and strengthening their own internal team cooperation. At the end of 2008 this extension department of the ADT, called KVK (Krishi Vigyan Kendra), won the first prestigious bi-annual National Award among all more than 500 KVK’s in the whole country. The second mission was building further on the results of the first mission. However, the main focus was on conducting three training activities of five days each for different target groups on various aspects concerning organisational development. [Read more…]

A third mission was building further on the results and activities of the two previous missions. The training for the HoD’s of the ADT was giving a good impression of the implementation of their action plans as formulated during the second mission. During a fourth mission to the Agricultural Development Trust in Baramati, India, by Lambertus Vogelzang the emphasis was on preparing and implementing a training on Strategy development and Team cooperation and communication.
